EVANGELINE'S OBEDIENCE TRIALS, Canning, NS

Stephen LAPHEN qualified twice in Novice A Saturday with his dog Doindogs Sam. Sam is just over one year old, born 25 Apr 04, one of Sailor / Yew pups. Steve's first CKC title made extra special by earning a High In Class score, these qualifications give Sam the title CD. I ran Doindogs Jersey CD in Open B, her owner had to go to away. Jersey qualified in all three events, also winning High In Class twice. Jersey deserves even more praise for this performance without her normal handler, Karyn COOLING. These qualifications have given Jersey the title CDX.

ADA IS WHELPING

Ada had seven black pups last night, only one male.

MUD'S LITTER

Took Mud to USA last Thursday and left her to be bred by Puddleduck's Drake. Drake is a very healthy, good looking, calm chocolate that loves to retrieve. You can check him out on her site, www.puddleduckretrievers.com This mating should produce a chocolate litter around 18th July

LUCKY PUP, UNLUCKY OWNER

Christina and Paul DREW purchased an Ada/Sailor pup from the 12 Nov 04 litter. They called this yellow female, "Holly". Holly became quite sick when she was about three months old because she had eaten some foreign objects that had to be surgically removed. The operation went just fine but she failed to make a complete recovery, diarrhoea was a recurring problem. Christina made many trips to the Vet, tried many types of food, various tests and many sleepless nights but despite her very best efforts the problem persisted. Christina did everything she could but she became convinced the kindest act would be to put Holly down, everyone agreed. Christina loved this pup enough to come to this decision, take her to Vet and stay with her to the end. Holly was a very lucky pup to have Christina.

ROSE'S LITTER

Rose's pups have their eyes open and they have started to walk and play.

SERVICE DOG, "ZARAH"

I had the preasure of visiting "Doindogs Zarah" and her owner Deborah in New York last Friday. Zara was a litter-mate to "Mud". She is still being trained by, C & G K-9 School Inc., Uniondale, NY, Deborah was pleased to demonstrate what a good student she has been. The owners of the school bought, Doindogs Kayla, a Roo/Jet pup. We were unable to visit Kayla but all reports have been full of praises.
