ISO MICROCHIPS

I talked to Cathy HUTCHESON of AVID's Microchips and asked if they would have chips approved by the 1st of August deadline. She told me that she was not in favor of this early deadline because there were not enough readers available and that the USA were not adopting this chip. She had written a letter to NCAC (National Companion Animal Coalition) about these chips and that I could post a copy on this site. Please check it out under "Articles - AVIDS Microchips". I agree that we should have a standard chip but also think that our biggest need is to have a system that is common to the USA and ourselves. That is not the case now, but at least some of their readers can read our chips.
