BEAU'S CNM CERTIFICATEI sent a DNA sample from Beau to France to be checked for an inherited "Centronuclear Myopathy" (CNM). The results of this test indicated that, "he is not at risk for transmiting the deleterious gene". He, therefore, received the CNM database registration number, LR-CNM05-084-M-PIV. This clearance also means that neither his mother, Rose, his sister Mud or any of their pups are carriers of this muscular disorder. More information is available at http://www.labradorcnm.com. ROSE WONRose was entered in the dog show in Trenton today. The Pictou County Kennel Club had an outdoor show, Gerona MacCUAIG from Sterling Ontario was the judge. Rose earned 4 points, 6 more required for her CH title. ROSE NEWSPuddleduck Kennels notified me that Rose was bred Friday morning. She will have pups on 4th of Noveber, if she caught this mating. They will breed her again Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, just to make sure. I'll have her home in time for the Trenton Show, her and Mut are both entered. CHOCOLATE LITTERRose is in USA being bred to Puddleduck's Mallard Drake. Drake is the sire of Mud's last litter. Drake's sire won the Americian National in 2001, has a Master Hunter, a Show Chamption and Tracking titles. More information at puddleduckretrievers.com. This litter is expected to be ready to go at Christmas time. ROO'S FATHER'S TITLEI asked Roo's breeder to explain the Field Trial title that was the subject of my last post, here is her reply ..
